  I have worked with Scott Desmond at Crown Mortgage for refinancing our home mortgage and cannot say enough good things our experience. Scott makes complicated issues easy to understand, works hard to get the best interest rate available, locks in when the rate is at it's lowest, and is available for questions at any time. I have even asked Scott's advice on other financing matters that don't require refinancing. He goes out of his way to make recommendations, and offer advice on the best people to contact that can help. Scott Desmond is a consummate professional; you will not be disappointed.

  We used Crown Mortgage twice now and I highly recommend them. Michael Martin handled our most recent refi and everything went smoothly. He kept us informed and there were no surprises, which is saying something when dealing with banks these days. We will be customers for life!

  Used their services to help get a loan for a house; Scott particularly. Long story short, he made it sound like we had it in the bag and we should start getting ahead of the game. We paid for a home inspection and appraisal, about $1000. Oddly, he began looking for a lender After all of this 'prep work' and we weren't qualified. Our fault yes, but this is typically addressed first thing and we wouldn't have spent the money and the time otherwise and would have instead focused on improving our situation. Between that and his sincerity that it was as good as done we had a very emotional, disappointing experience that I sincerely hope no one goes through themselves.

  My wife and I have done four original and re-fi mortgages with Scott Desmond (Crown Mortgage). I don’t believe you could find a more honest, knowledgeable, hard –working broker in all of central VA. Example: we were doing a re-fi (VA) on our present home just to lower the interest rate. It took over six months because Scott was not convinced that the interest rate and various expenses were as low as they should be. He advised us to be patient and wait it out. During that time, he was constantly checking with all his lenders (of which he has many), for the best deal. He finally found a small window that we took advantage of immediately that lowered our int. rate and saved us several thousand in misc. expenses. Just cannot say enough about his level of expertise. And perhaps most important, a good man.
